But I think many of us are reluctant to debase ourselves in the required way; embracing insane falsehoods as issues worth pandering to, all while operating on the premise that this is just a horse race.       @jbarro @Popehat I have to ask myself, if I engage in a debate on “CRT,” caravans, or the other nonsense the NYTimes discusses in diners with Republican operatives and pollutes its paper with, am I any better than your median Republican Senator, as a matter of civic morals or basic decency?

        @jbarro @Popehat Maybe this is just me taking the pointless high ground @jbarro, but would you be willing to take up the required weekly demented nonsense issue in a campaign to win office? How far would you go? I don’t know either, but I’m not sure I can ask @ChrisMurphyCT or others to do so.
