      .@nytdavidbrooks gets so caught up in describing things that he fails to account for one side of this conflict falling to violent nihilism. No one is bound to respect the imaginary complaints of people who, however “disrespected,” have decided to overthrow their civilization.

        I certainly can’t see Brooks writing this column if it was a unified hard Left rebelling in this way (something it’s constitutionally incapable of). Instead, we’re to self-flagellate over largely inevitable forces, and give credence to substantively evil forces seeking violence.
