@KlasfeldReports Maybe it wouldn’t change things, but the fact that DOJ has yet to charge a remotely serious crime discredits the effort to hold anyone accountable or to prevent a repeat. Perusing 99% of these charges makes one think they snuck some beers into the rotunda and wouldn’t leave.

@KlasfeldReports When this first happened, every serious lawyer commenting felt there were serious crimes whose elements were being met. That was either grievously wrong (which I doubt), or the weak and witless Garland DOJ remains full of Reagan Republicans who just won’t take this seriously.

@KlasfeldReports Bottom line: 165 people were charged with low-level crimes that most Americans can’t distinguish from a college bar fight. As first offenders, none will face any remotely serious penalty, and most are already home, and will write a check for the fine when the lawyers plead it.

@KlasfeldReports And how many of the paltry 165 people charged are charged due to people from the Internet literally dumping collated evidence on the FBI’s doorstep? Left to its own devices, I think the FBI would have charged the 3%ers and left it there. 165 is a sick joke.
