In my humble opinion, where @EFF gets it’s wires crossed here is in assuming that civil liberties concerns pertain to private market interactions where the government is not a factor. The result of that move ends up making them sound like a 1-like reply in an Elon Musk thread.Permalink On twitter.com

I donate a fair bit to @EFF and will continue to do so. But I think it’s worth seeing where this post’s politics leads, and if they end up compromised in their mission like ACLU and FIRE have. We need more civil liberties groups that can stay in a lane and do one thing well.Permalink On twitter.com
