So while powering through "Select Cases from the Coroners' Rolls (A.D. 1265 - 1413)," I was discussing with a friend why the rolls provide the value of the item involved in deaths (deodands) when we realized that the Vermont Constitution covers this. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deodand
