This is the legacy of dumping unqualified hacks with an agenda into a branch our institutions aren’t used to having to check. No one thinks that this decision represents the state of American law, any more than the Supreme Court thought Texas’ informer/bounty hunter law was legal under its precedent. Instead, judges find themselves in a position to punish their political enemies for awhile, and do so.On twitter.com
