@IChotiner @Susan_Hennessey We forget the extent to which very many “institutionalist” Republicans wanted to tear down our system in favor of an elected monarchy in all but name. And even with Trump gone, those tendencies aren’t going anywhere. The crown they have put on Trump’s head endangers us all.
