As we think consider the actions of our police, and the dangers to our democracy in using military personnel to resolve domestic issues, it’s worth remembering that our soldiers have conducted themselves far better in enemy cities with IED’s and snipers better than these folks... @morphonios/1268370620418527232

    By int’l convention, soldiers can’t use tear gas (a chemical weapon), but they also are educated about those conventions, illegal orders, tactical restraint, chain of command, trigger discipline, and frankly a lot of the issues we’re seeing here...

        The fact that citizens in foreign nations under a military occupation facing heavily armed resistance had more protection from unreasonable searches of their homes, safety while walking the streets, gathering in groups, and from arbitrary violence should make us think.
