      @Nonfinality Those takes are both totally reasonable outside the context of NY’s lunacy. I take the commentary on this as angry at the fact that in the last year, police (whose billion-dollar unions and DA allies own the city and the bench) were given less for: murder, rape, perjury, robbery.

    @Nonfinality By which I mean they were not generally charged with those things by their donation recipients/political allies/coworkers in the DA’s offices, but were widely regarded to have committed based on overwhelming evidence. Though perjury does not appear to be a crime for them. At all
